| IDO Migration for Oil Refinery - Monday, 12 January 2009
iDesignOffice was awarded a contract to supply IDO licenses to a larger oil refiner and migrate existing data including instrument datasheets, wiring and loops from existing instrument database sytems into an IDO 5.0 SQL Server database for two of the customers refineries.
The first IDO database will contain over 50,000 tags in the instrument index and will include nearly 20,000 instrument datasheets. Data migration is expected to be completed by early March 2009. |
| Refinery Data Migrated to IDO - Wednesday, 12 March 2008
iDesignOffice has succesfully completed the data migration (instrumentation and controls) for a complete refinery into an IDO SQL Server database. The customer will use IDO to provide up-to-date instrumentation data and documents for refinery maintenance personnel as well as using IDO as their design tool for future plant modifications and upgrades. The instrument Index contains& approx 11,000 field tags with over10,000 cables in the Cable Schedule and over 8,000 I/O assignments to DCS, ESD and PLC systems. |
| Consultant uses IDO to create over 3000 AutoCAD loop diagrams - Monday, 2 July 2007
A customer in South East Asia has successfully produced over 3000 loop diagrams for a large Gas Project. Wiring data was imported from an Intools database and DCS configuration and I/O data from the Control Systems vendor. This data was then used by IDO to create the loop diagrams in AutoCAD DWG format (as required by the client operating company). |
| Data Migration - Operating Company Adopts IDO - Thursday, 1 February 2007
iDesignOffice has just successfully migrated data for an entire petrochemical plant in Australia into an IDO database. The customer is now using IDO to maintain instrument datasheets and process data as well as all wiring/cabling and associated loop and termination diagrams from IDO. |
| EPC customer saves $$$ - Wednesday, 20 December 2006
Recently a large multi-national EPC company based in the UK provided us with a case study that showed using IDO on a small project saved approx 700 design man-hours! This was the first time the customer had used IDO so we expect even greater productivity on subsequent projects. |
| IDO proves Efficiency - Friday, 15 December 2006
After a successful Petrochemical Plant expansion project the multi-national EPC reported the only department to complete the project within estimated man-hours was their Instrumentation Department which used IDO to create loop and termination diagrams and instrument datasheets. |
| Plant Built with 0% Design Errors - Monday, 11 December 2006
An Australian client produced design documentation for a brown-fields project of approx 400 loops. Reports back from site during construction & commissioning stated there were ZERO errors in wiring and cabling from the design package. 'As Built' mark-ups were not required! |
| EPC Reduces design manhours by 50% - Wednesday, 18 October 2006
A UK client produced design documentation with IDO for four brown-fields offshore oil platforms and reported design man-hours were reduced by almost 50% from their initial estimates. The project deliverables included all loop diagrams, termination diagrams, instrument datasheets and cable schedules produced using IDO. |
